QR @ the Ekka

QR services were up to their usual standard at the Ekka.  The departure platform had zero signage, digital or otherwise, regarding services.  There wasn't even a clock.  I asked a staff member when the next train was and the smart arse asked "where to?", as if there were options.  When pressed, all he would commit to was "trains every 15 minutes", rather than specific times.  The Translink website says every 20 minutes.

And given that the Ekka special isn't actually a loop service (it goes from Fortitude Valley via Central and Roma St to the Ekka then doubles back see https://jp.translink.com.au/plan-your-journey/timetables/train/t/exhibition-line/), it is not clear why it doesn't just shuttle between Roma St and the Ekka only. Every other line goes through Roma St so all passengers could change there, and it could then run every 10 minutes.

Causes conflicts. Slows down freight trains. Slows down passenger trains. There's space in the timetable for them. Increases wait times crew wise. I can keep going.

I want to have a massive rant about QR and the Ekka trains.  Last weekend i was waiting at Roma st wanting to go to fortitude valley station.  A train from the ekka arrived (probably the last of the day).  Everything indicated that it was a fortitude valley terminating service so I was going to board it when i was stopped by a qr staff member saying that it couldn't get on it and then said that if no one was on it after central it would terminate at central.
Confused because there is no turnback at central and running express through the valley was highly unlikely.
