In the next couple of weeks, I will be drafting up a new Ipswich bus network and would like to hear your input as to how it should be laid out.

I will have 3 categories of services:
-High Frequency and Trunk Services (e.g. Route 515)
-Local Coverage/Shopping Services (e.g. Route 514)
-Feeder Services (e.g. Route 525)

The goals I'm trying to achieve are:
-Extensive coverage of the network by using as little resources possible
-Provide services at least every 30 mins, 7 days to as many people as possible

From what I have also heard is the reliability of services in the Ipswich region to be quite poor, whether it is caused by mechanical issues or difficult timetables to follow. I can't really do much about that but if the efficiency of routes is improved, than the whole network generally becomes more reliable.

This is not going to go into much detail, it will just be a map outlining the route changes.

I'll also be looking at the patronage here to help me out:

I'd like to hear what works well and what needs to be changed as I'm not this area.

Cheers.

Ok cheers. There is a strong push for a bus between Ipswich and Springfield, that will be something I'll definitely look into.

Hey guys,

I have finished my concept of how the Ipswich Bus Network should be shaped and I'd like to hear yours.

Obviously, as it is just an idea, I have not worried about the number of buses and how many will need to be purchased to run these frequencies.

Is there going to be a road or bus only Bridge to replace the Moggill ferry as per the map, for the 444 to turnaround at Riverview Station? Good luck with that endeavour!

As a bridge crossing the river there has been discussed often through the media, I just thought I may as well show an extension and rail connection that the 444 could make.
