24hr Kittycat operation on FRI and SAT night, would help "stimulate" inner-city life....not asking for anything more than a once every 30mins service, between Midnight and 5am....... we do it with Nightlink buses....

As per the other similar thread, you are dreaming mate! Brisbane is a large country town backwater with 1am lockout laws and limited night time economy. There is zero demand for 24 hour CityCats.

I'd be curious to know how the 60 and 61 do on early Saturday/Sunday.  Somebody I know who drove the N310 on occasion says they routinely carried nobody at all.

700 on the other hand is always well loaded, albeit not with the best kind of patronage.

Anecdotally, the 60 gets reasonable loads between about James St and Cultural Centre. Beyond that, I'm not sure, but I agree with having a spine like the 60 running every 15 minutes through the night. Loads can be very variable though, anywhere between 3 and 25 pax.
Is it really that hard to run frequent, reliable public transport?

Funny enough, I've caught a few early AM Maroon Gliders from CBD out through Paddington, does OK numbers wise....remember, it serves the Caxton St region, always a crowd out there in the small hours.

I accept sadly, Brisbane has much backward thinking.....but it does have solid demand for a modest [every 30mins] Midnight to 5am Kittkat service on the weekend. Anyway, it sure as heck ain't going to be our state rail operator that rises to meet the needs of the city, so we all should hope the buses and ferries can!

There isn't solid demand. Sorry to sink your boat.
