My lucky day!

I was running a little later than usual and arrived at Roma St about 5pm to catch the 5.09pm service to Ipswich.

While waiting at platform 8, EMU01 arrived.  Heading for Mayne even though desto has Petrie.

Haven't managed to get a photo of 01 before.



Then about 5.07, SMU 262 / 261 came out of the tunnel.  So we had a ride on the new SMU for the trip home.
All the passengers seemed very pleased

SMU 261 scurries off to Darra behind SMU 262.



At this point IMU167 passed through on a down service!

Apparently the new SMU set was on the Ipswich Caboolture lines for most of yesterday.

Look forward to an ever expanding fleet of new SMUs.

I was on the same service Roma Street to Indooroopilly.

I like the new SMUs. The dooways are a bit low though.
