The next one needed is definitely a 4:07am out of Ipswich. As it stands nobody from west of Roma St can get to the airport by train before 6:20am!

First airport train from Roma St arrives at the airport stations 1.5 hours before any Ippy passenger can get there.

One more early Gold Coast service would not go astray either, although I think there needs to be at least one extra service after the current last train out of Brisbane Sunday to Thursday.

When wulkuraka stabling yard becomes online, they should have a 4:04 am and a 3:34am inbound both starting from Thomas St.  With the 3:34am one continuing to Gympie north.   Possibly for a day return/ day shuttle or a late afternoon/evening return.

Additional service for the Springfield Line

On Monday 15 August, an additional weekday service will be added to the Springfield Line to improve the frequency and efficiency of the network.

The additional service will depart Springfield Central station at 5.09am and arrive at Central station at 5.50am Monday to Friday.

Unable to join the 5.09am ex Springfield Central this morning due to baby sitting commitments, however I timed it so I could observe the down train at Pannard, which it was at 5.24am (between Darra > Oxley ), so on time!

I had a look at the ex 5.09am Springfield Central at Darra rail station this morning.  About 30 or so pax already on board as it arrived at Darra. On time.  This service really fills a nice gap now.  Might help to relieve some of the early ' Darra parkers ' too.

Wow, TransLink have actually updated the .pdf timetable!

Daughter #2 travelled on the new 5.09am ex Springfield Central late last week.  Boarded at Oxley, 6 pax got on.  Darling daughter estimates at least 100+ pax by Roma St.

I checked it out at Darra early this morning, again at least 30 pax on board.  So this is really filling a needed gap by the looks of things.

Checked out the 5.09am service ex Springfield Central this morning at Darra.  Good passenger load for that time of the morning.
