Morningside station is not properly DDA accessible. What are your thoughts on a TOD at this location? what would it look like.

The adjacent land parcel appears to have some construction in it if one looks at Google Maps (street view). Does anyone know anything about that?

If morningside station was to be redeveloped, I would like for them to add a 3rd platform for terminating trains. A good portion of the Cleveland lines patronage is from the first 4 stations on the line.  After CCR is built it will allow a couple more trains to be run in the peaks. Make it an extension of the doomben line.  There is space to do it.

Ideal for a TOD over the station.

One of the concerns I had was the noisy freight in the am. Lots of coal and goods going to/from the port.

It seems to have been dealt with on the Ipswich line with The Milton, so I am confident it can be dealt with here.

Might need to leave space for a potential fourth track.

Not sure about the terminating platform though. Would much prefer to have it placed out at Murrarie or Wynnum station.

There is a railway line that branches off to Gibson Island. I am not aware of any use on that line at all, and it might be private. A short

section of that could be electrified and used as a turning back position.

Gibson island sidings are gone.   The junction was tripped out with some of the track removed.   It was a perfect place for a stabling yard.

Morningside see's alot more freight going through it than Milton.  QR like to be dickheads and have freight trains cut the entire passenger  network off in half to avoid sending trains the long way to acacia ridge and the port via indro and tennyson.

There's a development approval for short term accommodation (application reference: A003933799) at 495A Wynnum Road MORNINGSIDE.

The development consists of:
- Basement level gym and pool facilities;
- Two levels of car parking;
- Four levels of hotel rooms; and
- Roof top conference facilities and dining.

The development does not integrate with the station, which due to the small scale is to be expected.
