The Ferny Grove line should be extended out with in between stations to Samford before the corridor becomes overcome with housing.
Have you tried lately to get a parking spot at Ferny Grove station even the side streets for 100's metres are packed and I have no doubt that resident's are feed up with congestion of their streets being used as parking stations.
Having asked a few travellers on a recent visit's to Ferny Grove I was amazed to find just how far out in the Samford region the travellers came from to catch the train's.
Double tracking the line to Ferny Grove will increase the frequency and capacity but will also increase the parking problem. Double story parking will only tempory ease the problem however, the only solution although costly (do it now and save mega $millions) is to "EXTEND THE FERNY GROVE LINE".

Parking at many railway stations is becoming a major problem for local residents and businesses.
Loop buses in the suburbs, regular and certain will reduce the demand for parking.  If citizens can get a bus to and from the station no need to drive and the parking hassles.  The free loop buses in Brisbane City are a good model.
RAIL Back On Track has suggested this previously and put this forward to the Chair of the Brisbane Council Transport committee at a meeting late 2006.
