709 bus 8.42am > GCUH 9.05am.

Tram 9.19am > Broadbeach South 9.52am.

700 bus 10.06am  > Tweed Heads 10.56am

Luncheon.

Then head off on T601/T603 as desired.

Thanks for the great day out Bob. I missed seeing you leave at Surfers till it was too late. 

I guess I must be a Noob at opening Train doors when I left at Beenleigh. Train stopped and I sort of stared blankly at the door wondering where the open button was.
Saw the button and pressed it and it lit up RED.. It wasn't the door button. Very embarrased  and saw real door button. Pressed it and made a hasty exit !

The network connections on the GC worked well yesterday.  Surfside Buses are well turned out and were running on timetable.  Drivers pleasant and courteous and drove well.

The light rail is booming!  As was the whole joint, people everywhere, lots happening and many many using public transport all over.

Trains very very full heading home (standing in aisles), concerts in Brisbane probably had a bit to do with that.

All in all, going very well. 

Brisbane is being left behind with its failed approach to network planning sadly.  We must battle on ...

On the way to Helensvale on QR IMU Derwan had a speedometer app on his smartphone.

We reached 140 km/h a number of times.  Not bad for 3'6" gauge inter-urban rail ...
