Just a few random thoughts on how I see things for 2021. Please add your priorities.

1. Rail service plans for CRR be made public.

2. Actual commencement on Level Crossing removal projects.

3. Public input on innovative ticketing products for the smart ticketing system.

4. Progress on the Sunshine Coast line upgrade i.e. actual construction.  Extend the duplication through to Landsborough North.

5. Major bus network reform is probably on hold pending Metro.  Micro reform should continue.

6. End half baked station upgrades, do it once, do it right.

All sounds good. Perhaps adding something about ensuring the route for GCLR stage 4 gets locked in along the gc Highway

The fare advisory panel reconvening with new further community engagement would be ideal. (Public Holiday, Daily and weekly caps would be ideal). A move towards distance based travel with longer distances capped. This should apply to all transport modes, incl EV and Hydrogen vehicles

Coopers Plains level rail crossing removal design feedback finalised and a construction date finalised.  It should include track realignment from Coopers Plains to Altandi to remove the tight curves in this area.

Construction start date and time line of the rail duplication to Beerwah confirmed.

The State Government Government (TMR) confirmation to help build the electric fast rail to OOL, WTB, and MCY. Rolling stock? If current NGR rolling stock + 20 can be used on the new line?

Revised new specifications for the new 20+ trains. Fast rail capable, USB charging ports, new dynamic real time onboard displays that show progress of the trains and other info incl applicable advertising, ETCS 2+ ready etc...Min 6 car carriages and carry on with crew cabs at the front and rear of the trains as per the Australian Rail Standard.

Final designs of the new Loganlea Station and construction time frames released. Possible revised operations using Loganlea as a turnaround, Four platforms would be ideal at this station, With three through tracks and the 4 used for peak turnarounds.

Work with BAC to get Skygate station up and running

Release a Public Transport plan to the new international cruise terminal

Proposed Hamilton and Skygate Glider?

Continue with a plan to progress to Driver only operations for trains.

Continue with a plan to progress to Driver only operations for trains.

DOO is a bad idea without ATO trains. I have witnessed its failure first hand on a holiday to Melbourne years ago. It puts too much pressure on the driver. If the driver doesn't have to drive but only monitor, then it's a lot more manageable.

Fix the bus network, focus on specific routes for ease.

Examples:
- 198 Powerhouse to West End via James St and Boundary Rd.
- A route from UQ to at least Ashgrove via Toowong
- Mount Coot-tha car park bus extended to Toowong station and integrated with the Translink network
- Extend BUZ 196 to Yeronga
- BUZ the 300
- Merge 599/598 into 590 between Garden City and Toombul

Get rid of cash on buses for good and keep back door boarding.
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

- Merge 599/598 into 590 between Garden City and Toombul

I would like to see the entire GCL split into several routes:

590 (already exists)
Toombul to Mitchelton
Mitchelton to Indooropilly
Indooroopilly to Garden City

Makes routes far simpler. Can add frequency to busy sections as required (e.g. I'd reckon 590 would carry many more passengers than Indooroopilly to Garden City section).
