I'm in China, where even in this 'small'city the buses at least seem well organised.

You can see in the below photo how the timetable is displayed.

Shows the stop you're at, the stops the bus services, span of hours, and frequency.

The buses themselves are small, but well set up, room for many standees, however they are not low floor.

There's a flat fee of 1元 per boarding too, payable by smartcard or coins to the farebox.

More to come...

Anything to rival the BUZ?

Most routes run at a frequency of at least 10~20 minutes.

Eg: Route 1 runs  0600-2030 every 5 - 7 (分钟)minutes, everyday.

Seems also that ALL routes are through-routes.

Danyang is also blessed with not one, but three railway stations.  The old station, which services the loco hauled trains, the new station, for high speed trains, and Danyang North station, outside of the city, for even faster high speed trains.

I was to travel to another city for the weekend, but the weather wasn't really good enough, however after purchasing my tickets online, I needed to go to the railway station to cancel them.

By the way, I'm on a bus now, just passed through a roundabout... the driver didn't even glance to check... wow.

Balls of steel this guy has.

Or just poor driving skills. Road travel in China is quite scary at times!

On the weekend I travelled to Suzhou, about 140km from here, naturally I took the CRH train.

The Suzhou railway station is designed with the style of the area, built out of timber and latticework.
