IPSWICH bus drivers are sporting new uniforms as Translink's partner Bus Queensland launches a new website.

The drivers now wear blue and black, while the new website helps commuters plan their journey.

Bus Queensland CEO Vernon Alcantra said the new uniforms would help customers to clearly identify bus drivers and staff.

"We are excited to see all of our bus drivers across our four depots now wearing smart and professional uniforms that bear the Bus Queensland logo, which replaces the individual identities of Park Ridge Transit and Westside Bus Company," he said.

"I encourage parents to familiarise their children with our new uniform so they can easily recognise their local bus drivers.

"The change of uniforms coincides with the launch of our new Bus Queensland website, which provides a wealth of information for customers."

Mr Alcantra said the updated website included information for everyone.

"At Bus Queensland, we believe visiting our website should be just as helpful and welcoming as visiting our office reception desk, which is why we have developed a website with a contemporary, bright and happy feel, where customers can easily access simple and useful information," Mr Alcantra said.

"The new website will help parents make informed decisions about their children's school travel by including detailed information about school bus services, bus pass applications and links to online forms, and information about the School Travel Assistance Scheme.

"The website also includes links to the TransLink and qconnect journey planners so customers can easily access information about urban bus services within each network."

Bus Queensland is the parent company for Park Ridge Transit, Westside Bus Company, Bus Queensland Lockyer Valley and Bus Queensland Toowoomba.
