Around 20% decrease over the decade.  Clearly the pandemic has had an effect on patronage but less directly than say SEQ, more a reflection of economic conditions changing is my feeling.  With the new fare zones and looming smart ticketing, some network improvements I expect patronage to begin to recover.  Financial year 2022-23 patronage will be interesting.

Bus patronage fell in Toowoomba by almost half. It was going down steadily well before COVID19.

What economic calamity explains that?  :is-

I feel like a good chunk of the reason would be the fact that there's still no contactless payment method for them. I dont know many people who still carry around change.
