Bit of a typo with regards to trains, it says trains will run to a regular weekday timetable.

I was going to question that as well? But it might be true? There could well be extra trains on Boxing Day.

Why is it so hard for them to put up proper timetables in print?  Not everybody uses the JP, especially people who have realised it often delivers subpar options.

They've stopped doing it for the railbuses too.

They've uploaded PDF railbus timetables of the upcoming inner city closure - just that it's not labeled as railbus, but the rail line it's attached to and that it's 'new'.

^ They're heavily promoting the "event shuttle" buses, which kind of annoys me. These are just minor variations of the 111/222/333. I can't think of any good reason not to put on extra 111/222/333 (like many other BUZ) and promote those.

Sometimes, bespoke routes for events are unavoidable and just common sense. This isn't one of those times. I guess it's nitpicky, but event shuttles feed into the old-school mentality that public transport is the exception rather than the rule.
The NYE shuttles are no less confusing than regular routes - actually more so with the pointless Capt Cook Bridge routing - and punters will head home still completely unfamiliar with the 'regular' PT network.

The Ekka is another shocker for this, though I'm not sure many people actually use those shuttle buses: BCC just continues to run them out of pride.

Anyway, happy new year ;)

^ Agreed about the "event shuttles" for NYE when most people are going to Southbank/CBD anyway, which are already covered by 111/222/333/444.

Event shuttles do make some sense for events at Suncorp though, I think it be counter-productive to force several busloads of pax to change buses or to a train so close to their final destination.

QR is hopeless at running any kind of major event service through Southbank.

I understand there was a police incident shutting platforms 2/3 after the fireworks.  But I walked to roma street.  Major lines outside south Brisbane station, yet trains weren't full going over the bridge.

Roma street had a bunch of trains illogically start on platforms 2 and 10, confusing even staff.

They should have been running at line capacity northbound.  And even sending some Ipswich/Springfield services through south Brisbane via tennyson
