Sunshine Coast Line : Delays for APRIL 2013

April delays thus far ... to SC commuters.

The times reported below do not take into account the 3 minutes and 59 second allowance that QR's service contract to TRANSLink allows.
A Sunshine Coast, Rosewood or Gold Coast train e.g. can be up to 5 minutes and 59 seconds late and is still considered statistically 'on-time'.

This does wonders for off-time performance figures.
All times shown below are actual arrival times.

Under my system, early arrival times at destinations are actually subtracted from the TTL (total time lost) figure,
in addition, arrival times less than 2 minutes late are NOT added to these figures.
Only when services are 2 minutes late or more, will the TTL figure increase.

Re: Toilets; should I forget to check their status, the default has been to always assume that they are working and in order.
This check ONLY applies to the front 3 carriages in the direction of travel.

No records kept during my Annual Leave for 2 weeks.
Noted that major disruption of 45 minutes occurred on Friday 5 April, 2013 due to points failure near Bald Hills station.

Monday April 22, 2013     Preparation for meeting and creation of 'The Federal Freight Case' report.

Tuesday April 23, 2013    11:00am meeting with Hon. Warren Truss MP regarding rail duplication.
This meeting was a significant success in that there is, for the first time, Federal recognition for funding of rail duplication of the NCL from Beerburrum to Nambour.
Now the State Government need to make it a priority to be considered by the Federal Government, in the next round of 5 year funding agreements.
