The last few weeks it has varied from ICE to SMU to IMU!

Advice received that will possibly be lead cars ICE (2) and 3 car EMU.  Although this can change.

Maybe they can put on a new IMU for us?   ;D

But the ICE is pretty neat too!

Inter City Express

QR's introduction of these electric intercity trains in 1988 reduced the travelling times by more than five hours on the route from Brisbane to Rockhampton, a distance of some 600km.

Being an intercity express, the train interior is designed for passenger comfort and includes music and catering facilities. Air conditioning, reclining seats and wool carpeting ensure an impressive interior environment while light-weight, radial self-steered bogies provide a smooth and comfortable ride.

The flexible design allows for various train configurations from four to six cars. Two power pairs can be accompanied by either one or two trailer cars. A power pair consists of two power cars with ABB thyristor drive equipment, one of which includes the driver's cab.

The stainless steel vehicles are based on the suburban trains (EMU's) delivered for the Brisbane Citytrain service. ABB supplied the electrical equipment and the company's local partner, Walkers, manufactured the mechanical parts, partly to ABB's design.

The ICE plied the Brisbane-Rockhampton route until 1998 with the introduction of the Tilt Train. Its primary purpose today is to provide services on the Sunshine Coast line.

Could be quite a load in the leading car if not the whole train
enjoy.

I will cross my fingers for the ICE as it's the only one I've not yet got a ride on...

Huggies

I may go on Sunday. A mate of mine in train control informed me that the ICE / EMU combo was banned from this train due to the amount of passengers using the service especially on the return journey. He informed me of this last year and it may have changed since then.

If it is a ICE / EMU combo I always travel in the EMU as the sound of them being thrashed trying to keep up the timetable is cool  >:D .
Sometimes I think the Go Card can go and get F**KED!

Fares_Fair

G'Day Bob,

Great to see people taking advantage of the Easter Free Travel with GoCard.
I might drop down to Palmwoods Station at 12:43pm and introduce myself, say a brief 'hi'.
Or perhaps even Nambour might be better where you stop for approx. 12 minutes.

Carriage 1 you say.

I'll be holding one of our 'Say No to GoCard' - Our Objectives posters with me, not for display.
( just so you can identify me )
You shouldn't miss it.  :D

It was a great day out topped by a delicious pizza at 'Mumma and Pappa's' pizza shop in Gympie !! The only places open in Gympie on Easter Sunday were the pizza shop (opened early for the day), Crazy Clarks and the RSL..
