The Carlingford line

Some time ago, it was suggested on RailPage that the termination of the Carlingford shuttles at Clyde be extended to Olympic Park which allows a moderately effective interchange.  If you have a precision cross between Rosehill and Clyde, you could upgrade the frequency to half hourly too.  This last part would be better if you did something about Clyde.  Either it adds another platform on the far north track, or you simply close Clyde.  I tend to favour the last option, as Clyde is ridiculously close to Granville anyway so only really exists to allow interchange.

The major limitation with this plan is that it tends to reduce capacity Parramatta-Lidcombe.
